Tom McGovern, MBA MCIPR, Internal Communications Specialist

Tom McGovern is a communications professional with over six years’ experience of working in internal communications.

Tom is currently an Internal Communications Manager at UK Research and Innovation, the largest public funder of research and innovation in the UK. Before that, he held internal communications roles at several higher education organisations.

Prior to specialising in internal communications, Tom’s background was in PR and journalism. He has a first-class journalism degree and possesses PR experience in range of industries, both agency and client-side.

Tom also has an MBA and is passionate about supporting businesses and people to be at their by revolutionising the way they communicate.

Outside of communications, Tom has carried out considerable research into diversity and inclusion in football and has worked with several professional football clubs to help them diversify their fan bases and create more inclusive match day environments.
